Many of the people publicly pretending to be civil and to have been banned from no reason were banned for joining our rooms and spamming porn, gore and all kinds of attacks on the project to disrupt our rooms. Screenshot showing message from someone feigning innocence there.

There are also third party archives of what has been happening for cases where our project members or community remembered to capture snapshots. Attacks have been openly coordinated in the CalyxOS and Techlore rooms. CalyxOS devs have directly been involved in bullying/libel.

Our app repository now has stable and beta channels for each of the apps in the repository. App updates will initially be released to the beta channel and then pushed out to the stable channel once they pass public beta testing. It's the same system we use for GrapheneOS updates.

We've made some changes to the AttestationServer (attestation.app) interface to clarify the security properties of the displayed information. Initial section is now more clearly marked as being hardware verified information and security level has been moved to the top.

Now that the scary part (backend) is done, we can update the frontend to display arbitrary length certificate chains since it displays those in an advanced section. Can keep the same label for the first and last certificates but it'll need to become more sophisticated for others.

We'll be switching from Material sharp icons to rounded icons for the next release. Any future icon theme feature can be easily supported. Vanadium icon isn't going to be changed yet and there are a bunch of other app icons for OS components with launcher icons we haven't done.

We'll be keeping the default pure black wallpaper for the foreseeable future since it fits the OS. Our current color palette is staying too. Dark theme will become the default once we fix some issues in AOSP apps, and we'll make some UI components use lower lightness levels.

Latest release of GrapheneOS includes our next generation Camera app based on the AndroidX platform CameraX library. It's dramatically better than the prior AOSP Camera and takes much higher quality photos with proper lightweight HDR+ support on Pixels.
GrapheneOS 2021110507 release: grapheneos.org/releases#2021…. See the linked release notes for an overview of the changes since the previous release.

1st image shows the new color palette for GrapheneOS from @kdrag0n for the upcoming 2021110507 release and beyond. 2nd image was the temporary one for the previous 2021110122 release. 3rd image shows standard AOSP 12 color palette which was too green to match our usual theme.

Back in 2016, when most of the phones were using Broadcom Wi-Fi, this looked a lot different. The lessons learned in the past have hopefully been applied to Broadcom Wi-Fi for IOMMU isolation and anonymity. There's so much that Google needs to get right to match Snapdragon.

We have multiple years of archives of the lies propagated by your little clique and the abusive behavior you folks engage in. There are thousands of screenshots from our Matrix rooms, Twitter and elsewhere showing the persistent harassment, misinformation and outright lies.

GrapheneOS believes in having a level playing field between applications and services. grapheneos.org/features Our view: picking 3rd party apps/services should be up to users and all of them should be on an equal playing field without special integration unavailable to others.

GeoDNS is an easy way to spread out load intelligently and doesn't cost us extra money. It's comparable to adding more servers via round-robin DNS but the end result provides much better latency and throughput. Can see the setup in github.com/GrapheneOS/ns1.gr…. Gradually scaling up.

piped.kavin.rocks/watch?v=qrBVXxZD… The bugs creating security vulnerabilities are very dense and the architecture makes them into critical issues. The kernel needs to look a lot more like the modern userspace on AOSP with fine-grained sandboxing and largely memory safe languages.

Freenode admins hijacked the #grapheneos and #grapheneos-offtopic channels due to us migrating to Matrix rooms: gist.github.com/thestinger/e… They removed our channel moderation privileges, changed the topic and set the channel to invite-only preventing users from joining/rejoining.

This is a fake account. It's not @strcat:matrix.org. It's incorrectly shown that way in common Matrix clients. It's part of the ongoing raids against our channels. Most users in both channels are receiving these messages. Screenshots are from one of those users.
