Thanks @mccrmx! You might be interested in a new version I've been working on recently with a different algorithm. It tries to find a truly random sample of a tile layout rather than just a valid example: logarithmic.net/ghostsurn/

Interesting. Does it mean that every valid layout has the same probability of being generated? Or is it approximately uniform in some sense?
