The Trump administration in 2020 released 5,000 Taliban prisoners. 600 of the freed individuals were rearrested because they were fighting alongside the Taliban despite pledges that they would not. Nothing like strengthening the Taliban before we go in to pull troops out.

That's because they didn't pardon anyone if there wasn't anything in it for themselves in some manner.

That & Kushner probably wasn’t being truthful in his J6 hearing, about being too focused on pardons.
The pace would have been faster if it were a casino, university etc, he wanted to go bankrupt.
He only served one term. Double pardons for first term and then some.
