This is extremely correct, and the US would be a much better place if liberals understood it.
Strategy is understanding that the things you want are where you are headed, not where you start. Strategy is figuring out how to get there and doing it.

He also seems to be pretty mediocre at meta-rationality - understanding his own limitations and when others are likely to know better - which probably increases the likelihood of extreme outcomes for his ventures.
So basically if zoning can be challenged on the basis of projected environmental impact in this way, on balance that should cut against restrictive zoning because restrictive zoning is more environmentally damaging?
